Entry procedure to the Republic of Belarus
Foreign citizens and stateless persons (hereinafter referred to as foreigners) intending to visit the Republic of Belarus should familiarize themselves with the rules of entry into the territory of the Republic.
Foreigners can enter the Republic of Belarus, leave it, and transit through the territory of the country.:
- according to the document for traveling abroad;
- if you have a visa from the Republic of Belarus.
A document for traveling abroad is recognized as:
- valid passport;
- another document intended for traveling abroad (issued by a government agency or an international organization).

Foreigners with a valid residence permit enter the Republic of Belarus and leave the Republic of Belarus on the basis of a document for traveling abroad (visa is not required) and a residence permit, which are presented to an official of the border guard agency when crossing the State Border of the Republic of Belarus.
Authorized officials of the border guard service have the right to allow Ukrainian citizens and stateless persons who have resided in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, as a rule, for at least a year, and who have arrived in the Republic of Belarus to obtain temporary or permanent residence permits, without valid documents required for entry into the Republic of Belarus and (or) departure from the Republic of Belarus, by decision of the Chairman of the State Border Committee or persons authorized by him in exceptional cases related to extraordinary circumstances, or in order to ensure the national interests of the Republic of Belarus (Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated 30.08.2014 N 420 "On the stay of citizens of Ukraine in the Republic of Belarus").
