Georgia is introducing new rules for Belarusian tourists starting June 1

    11.05.2024
Belarusians do not need a visa to travel to Georgia and can stay there for any number of days.

Starting from June 1, 2024, Georgia will introduce new rules for foreign tourists, including those from Belarus, according to the updated law "On Tourism and Resorts," writes Sputnik Georgia.

According to the document, adopted at the end of 2023, starting from June 1 of this year, each visitor to Georgia must have health insurance for the entire period of their stay.

It is noted that to visit Georgia, health insurance is required, covering expenses of at least 5 thousand dollars or euros for emergency outpatient services and 30 thousand dollars or euros for hospital treatment. The policy can be issued by any insurance company.

In addition, if a tourist has international travel insurance with "Worldwide" coverage, it is also suitable for traveling to Georgia.

Attempting to ignore this requirement will result in a fine of about 360 Belarusian rubles (110 dollars – Sputnik).

Let us remind you that Belarusians do not need a visa to travel to Georgia and can stay there for any number of days.
