The department advises not to leave your place of residence without necessity and to comply with the curfew requirements.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus recommended Belarusian citizens to exercise extreme caution due to the difficult situation in Bangladesh.

A wave of protests swept through Bangladesh earlier following the announcement of the so-called "non-cooperation action" with the authorities. Its initiator is the organization "Student Movement against Discrimination". One of the reasons for discontent is that a significant number of graduates cannot find work amid quotas for admission to public service.

"Against the backdrop of a difficult internal political situation and ongoing protests in the People's Republic of Bangladesh, as well as taking into account the curfew regime in force in this country, we recommend Belarusian citizens there to exercise extreme caution," the Foreign Ministry said.

The department also recommended not to leave your place of residence without special need and to follow the instructions of the local authorities.

According to the Foreign Ministry, Belarusians in difficult situations can contact the round-the-clock emergency consular assistance line at the embassy in India (New Delhi): +91 99 99 466 445.

Currently, a curfew is in effect in Bangladeshi cities from 18:00 until further notice. In addition, August 5-7 have been declared holidays. Internet access is also restricted.
