Financial assistance to Ukrainians in Belarus: How do I get it?

Belarus has an opportunity to support families with children from Ukraine: thanks to the UNICEF program, it is possible to receive financial assistance.
Who can receive financial assistance?
Only families with children under the age of 18 (inclusive) from Ukraine who have arrived in Belarus since January 1, 2022 and still live here can receive assistance. Before including a family in the program, the organization will verify personal information. This is necessary in order to identify whether the family really has children under the age of 18 and whether the family currently lives in Belarus.
What is the amount of support for the program?
The amount of financial assistance depends on the number of people in a family with children. Thus, you can get from 400 bel. rub. (500 bel. rub. if one of the family members has a disability / chronic disease) for a family of 2 people up to 700 bel. rub. (875 bel. rub. if one of the family members has a disability / chronic disease) for a family of 5 or more a man.
UNICEF warns that the amount of support is taxable. Monetary assistance to the family will be sent by postal transfer to any branch of Belpost or at the place of residence in Belarus.
How do I get a money transfer if your family fits the criteria?
1. Call the staff of the Refugee Counseling Service office in your city and specify at what time it will be possible to come for monetary assistance. Rooms for Brest: +375 (162) 53-30-16, +375 (33) 6332046 ( calls and messengers). Address: Brest, b-r Shevchenko 4, office 525. Reception hours: Mon–Fri: from 9:00 to 17:00 (lunch from 13:00 to 14:00).
2. Visit the office in your city and fill out an application for financial assistance. The application must be filled out in person only. Package of necessary documents:
- identification documents for all family members. Passport, birth certificate, certificate of additional protection (if any);
- documents confirming the date of entry into Belarus;
- documents confirming disability/chronic diseases (if any).
At the moment, it is possible to receive assistance in the framework of winter support for families from Ukraine with children. To receive a money transfer in November, you need to register for assistance by November 15, 2024 (payments will be made by November 29, 2024). You must register for December assistance by December 20, 2024 (payments are due by December 27, 2024).
You need to register in the program once.

What other assistance can Ukrainians receive in Belarus?
• The International Organization for Migration in Belarus (Minsk) provides humanitarian assistance to migrants and refugees, including Ukrainians. This includes the search for temporary housing in emergency situations, assistance with food and clothing, employment assistance, etc.
