    Visa-free entry to Belarus for foreign citizens

       Belarus is actively developing its tourist attractiveness, offering citizens of dozens of countries the opportunity to visit the country without a visa. Thanks to decrees of the President of the Republic of Belarus, several visa-free regimes are in effect, allowing foreigners to enter through Belarusian airports for up to 30 days. In this article, we will look at who can use visa-free entry, what documents are required, and what restrictions exist.

       Through Belarusian airports

       The 30-day visa-free regime is available to citizens of 76 states. The full list of countries can be found on the official portal: https://www.belarus.by/rel_image/6399

       Conditions for visa-free entry:

       - Entry and exit only through Belarusian airports (Minsk, Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev).

       - Does not apply to flights from/to Russia.

       - Does not apply to employment, commercial activities, or studies for more than 30 days.

       

       Documents that allow entry into Belarus without a visa:

       - A valid passport or other document replacing it for traveling abroad.

       - Financial resources (an amount in foreign currency or Belarusian rubles equivalent to at least two base amounts for each day of stay, or 50 base amounts if the stay is for a full 30 days).

       - Health insurance in the amount of at least €10,000, valid in Belarus.

       - For citizens of some countries (Vietnam, India, Iran, Pakistan, etc.) – a Schengen visa with an entry mark to the EU and air tickets with departure from Belarus within 30 days.

       Registration on the territory of Belarus

       Foreign citizens planning to stay in Belarus for more than 10 days must register with the internal affairs bodies at their place of stay in the country. When staying in hotels, sanatoriums, etc., registration is carried out by the administration of the institutions.

       

       Visa-free entry to Belarus for EU citizens

       Since 2022, citizens of Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland can enter Belarus without a visa through any road and railway checkpoints.

       Since July 2024, the visa-free regime has been expanded to 35 European countries and extended until the end of 2025.

       Important:

       - Entry is possible with a foreign passport.

       - You can transit, including through checkpoints at airports, to third countries, with the exception of Russia.

       - The 30-day visa-free entry procedure through airports remains in effect.

       For 15 days – to the visa-free zone "Brest – Grodno" for citizens of more than 70 countries

       The visa-free zone includes:

       - Brest region – Brest city, Brest, Zhabinka, Kamenets, Pruzhany districts.

       - Grodno region – Grodno city, Grodno, Berestovitsa, Volkovysk, Voronovo, Lida, Svisloch, Shchuchin districts.

       Documents that allow you to visit the visa-free territory:

       - Passport.

       - Health insurance (from 10,000 €).

       - Tourist voucher from a certified tour operator.

       - Money – equivalent to at least 2 base amounts.

       - Entry – through the international checkpoint Brest (Terespol).

       From July 4 to July 23, citizens of 73 countries can enter Belarus without a visa for the Slavic Bazaar festival in Vitebsk.

       Conditions:

       - Having a ticket to the event (original or electronic).

       - For participants – an invitation from the organizers.

       - Exemption from the registration fee.

       Belarus offers convenient visa-free conditions for tourists from dozens of countries. Depending on the purpose of the trip, you can choose a 30-day entry through airports, a 15-day tour to the Brest – Grodno zone, or a visit to the Slavic Bazaar. The main thing is to follow the entry rules and have the necessary documents.
