An agreement between the governments of Belarus and the Seychelles on direct air service was signed last October.
Direct air service will be established between Belarus and the Seychelles, the corresponding law No. 74-3 was ratified by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
The document was officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal on Tuesday.
The agreement was signed by the governments of the two countries in Kuala Lumpur on October 21 last year.
As the Belarusian Ministry of Transport emphasized earlier, after signing the international treaty with the Seychelles, air carriers will be able to operate both cargo and passenger flights between the airports of the two states in the near future.
New destinations
The Belarusian authorities pay great attention to establishing air service with new countries.
For example, the head of the Belarusian state signed decree No. 138 in April of this year, which approved the draft intergovernmental agreement between Belarus and Venezuela on air service as a basis for negotiations.
At the moment, Minsk and Caracas are working on the issue of opening a direct flight. It is planned that it will be operated by the Venezuelan airline Conviasa.
Belarus also ratified the agreement on air service with Saudi Arabia, and earlier with Oman, where Belavia planes have already started flying since February of this year.
Also, the national air carrier of Belarus began operating direct flights to China.
Vietnam is also among the priority air destinations. As Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Sivak reported earlier, Belavia is ready to fly to Vietnam, but there are certain technical issues.
