    Education in Belarus for foreign citizens

       How can a foreigner enter a Belarusian university?

       Today, more than 11,000 foreign students study in Belarus. In this article, you will receive information on how to become one of them.

       Admission algorithm:

       - choosing an educational institution and a training program;

       - filling out and submitting an application on the website of the selected educational institution;

       - collecting and sending the necessary documents listed on the educational institution's website;

       - receiving an invitation to apply for a student visa and come to Belarus to study.

    Next, you need to apply (if necessary) to the Belarusian consular institution for a study visa.

       Citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine do not need to obtain a visa. Citizens of other countries need to apply for a visa to study.

       In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus in the field of education, citizens of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as citizens of Ukraine permanently residing in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, have the right to enter the first stage of higher education at the BNTU on the conditions provided for:

       a) citizens of the Republic of Belarus, that is, at the expense of the republican budget or on payment terms provided for citizens of the Republic of Belarus, based on the results of entrance examinations in the form of centralized testing or conducted in higher education institutions;

       b) foreign citizens and stateless persons, that is, on terms of payment provided for "foreign citizens", based on the results of an interview establishing their level of proficiency in the language in which the educational process is conducted, in the amount sufficient to master the content of the higher education program.

       Other foreign citizens and stateless persons who do not reside in the territory of the Republic of Belarus can enter the university to receive higher education:

       a) at the expense of budget funds or on a paid basis – in accordance with international treaties of the Republic of Belarus;

       b) on a paid basis – based on the results of final certification when mastering the content of the educational program for training persons for admission;

       c) on a paid basis – based on the results of an interview establishing their level of proficiency in the language in which the educational process is conducted, in the amount sufficient to master the content of the higher education program.
