The Belarusian Foreign Ministry has issued recommendations for Belarusians in Nepal, the press service of the Belarusian foreign policy department reported.
The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in India and Nepal (concurrently) recommends that Belarusian citizens in Nepal follow the instructions of the local authorities.
Belarusians in Nepal are advised to comply with the curfew announced by the authorities and to visit the capital, Kathmandu, only in case of extreme necessity.
Belarusian diplomats also called on to avoid places where mass protest actions are held.
Mass protests swept Nepal after the adoption of a law banning popular social networks in the country. Today, protesters broke into the country's parliament building in Kathmandu, beat the foreign minister and ex-prime minister. According to some reports, the country's president and ministers were evacuated by the military.
As a result of clashes with the police, 19 people were killed and more than 500 were injured.
