Yes, we are serious. Let's find out what modern slavery is like? Slavery in the 21st century takes many forms – it is forced labor, forced marriage, debt slavery, and other types of exploitation. In modern slavery, there is always almost complete control over the life of another person in all its manifestations: the place of residence of a person, the place and mode of his work are controlled, his movements are controlled, his whole life is controlled.
And what exactly is human trafficking?
Human trafficking is a way of exploiting people for selfish purposes by selling, buying and/or exchanging them as a commodity.
The most common form of human trafficking:
sexual (prostitution, pornography, sexturism, etc.)
Who can become such a victim of human trafficking?
The real case: in April, a girl Olga (name changed), 16, met a young man Yuri (name changed), 21, on the Internet, corresponded in Telegram, met in the city. An emotional relationship ensued. Olga fell in love with Yuri and was ready to fulfill any of his requests for the sake of a relationship, as long as he was with her. Yuri asked her to send him candid photos and make a video of the same nature in confirmation of her feelings for him. Olga was doubtful at first, but experiencing strong feelings, she unconditionally fulfilled his requests. Yuri also persuaded her to have a sexual relationship, motivating her by saying that he feels bad, he loves her very much, and she must prove her feelings. The guy told her that he needed her photos and videos for his collection.
In June, Olga saw Yuri with another girl. They quarreled. After the quarrel, Yuri spread the information that Olga was easily accessible, easy-going and began to "leak" her intimate photos among mutual friends on the Internet.
As a rule, people who are vulnerable to one degree or another become victims of human trafficking. Olga had such vulnerabilities
- emotional and psychological dependence
- pressure from an authoritative person on a minor.
